Easter

We had a great Easter!! The kids really enjoyed dyeing eggs, hunting eggs, making a cake and celebrating the resurrection of our Lord! Alli and Cole both had a lot more questions about Easter this year and we had many wonderful conversations about what Jesus did for us. Alli has also become quite the singer in church...she's awesome!! Here's some pictures.

Allison - 7, Cole - 4, and Nolan - 2

Alli loved her Easter dress.

Cole looking very handsome in his tie and he didn't mess with it all morning. :)

Nolan, growing up too fast!

Alli was by far the fastest egg finder.

Cole found a few eggs before getting bored.

Nolan found a few but didn't really want to pick them up.

Alli was trying to get the boys into finding the eggs. She's such a great big sister!

Cole and Alli helped me design and make this cake for Easter.

Nolan dyeing eggs. He only cracked a few trying to do it himself. ;)

Alli is creative when "designing" her eggs.

Cole liked to color all over his eggs.

We had a beautiful day, almost too hot, but the wind really blew! This helped make our kite flying very successful!!

Cole and Nolan's Easter Party

Cole and Nolan had their Easter parties at their school today. They had an Easter egg hunt and then went inside and had cookies, juice and games. The weather cooperated for once. Temp was in the 80s :) although the wind was gusting at 45mph :(. This didn't phase us, we have been dealing with that for days. The boys had fun and the school director was so nice to stagger the egg hunts so I could be there with each of the boys as they hunted.

I hope you enjoy the pictures and have a very HAPPY EASTER!!

Cole thought the Easter egg hunt was fun and told me he was "super, duper fast."

He didn't waste any time getting started. They said "Go" and he was off to the races!!
He even had time to pick and choose which eggs he wanted. Only the blue, yellow, and green eggs.

He got his "quota" pretty fast (each child could get 12 eggs).

Nolan and his basket.

He was real slow in getting started, but once I told him there was candy in the eggs, he looked at me with big eyes and said, "CANDY?!? Yeah!" He then picked up the pace. :)

Eventually, he thought a trip down the slide sounded better than looking for eggs.
