Alli's Cheerleading Clinic

Alli attended a Cheer Clinic put on by our High School for their fundraising efforts for OU's Children's Hospital. This clinic was held many weeks ago and they learned a cheer and small dance routine to perform at the next HS girls basketball game. After many cancellations due to the winter weather we have had, they were finally able to perform this last Tuesday. Alli did GREAT!!! We were worried none of the girls would remember anything since it had been so long, but they did. It was very cute and I wanted to post a few pictures.

Getting ready to do their dance routine. "Future Cheerleader" on their backs.

WHAT A POSE!! With a huge smile, of course.

The end. It was fun to watch! Great Job Alli!

Nolan's Procedure

Last Friday morning, Nolan had to have a 2nd set of tubes put in his ears and his adenoids removed. This is not a procedure we were looking forward to, but unfortunately had to be done. So we checked in at the hospital at 6:15 am and entertained Nolan with Scooby-Doo movies until the nurse came to get him. He was in a fairly good mood, but a little confused til they took him. Everything took about 45 minutes from the time they took him, til they brought him back from recovery. Let's just say he was NOT a happy boy when he came back!! There was a point where Jeff and I both broke down a little because he was hurting and we couldn't help him. He was able to relax some after his IV was taken out, but then started back up because his throat hurt. It was a really tough morning, but got better when the pain medicine finally kicked in. We were discharged around 11 am and Nolan was glad to get home and settled in for a long nap. He has been doing extremely well since then.

Pre-surgery waiting with Scooby-Doo movies.
We didn't get a post-surgery picture, it was too tough of a time!!

All the balloons his Aunts and Uncles and grandparents sent him. He loved them and they turned out to be quite the punching bags for the boys ! ;)

What Cole Learned Today

Look what Cole can do!!

After 7 snow days in 2 weeks, we are a little stir crazy! We finally have some nice weather and we took advantage of it, spending as much time outside as possible. And Cole has some exciting news to share...he can ride is bike without training wheels!!! It only took one time around the island in front of our house for him to figure it out. From then on, he just got faster and faster. He thinks it is pretty cool and has also figured out how to get himself started. We knew it would be pretty easy for him, but didn't expect it to be this easy!
