Nolan Update

Most of the time I am blogging about Alli and Cole and their activities and that leaves Nolan out, so I thought I would let you know a little about Nolan and what he likes to do.

After Alli and Cole go to school and if the weather is nice, Nolan and I like to go for a bike ride around the neighborhood. This is probably his favorite thing to do and I love it too because I get to exercise a little and listen to Nolan describe everything he sees. He is definitely an outdoor boy who loves all of God's creatures and is not afraid to touch anything! (some of it makes his Mama cringe!)

Here he is ready to go!

Towards the end of every ride, we stop at the neighborhood pond to throw some rocks and observe the ducks. Here he is letting one fly!

He loves to do this!

"I can reach the water with this stick, Mom. I not get too close!"

His school had their Easter parties last week which included an Easter Egg Hunt. Here he is showing us he found a BIG egg.

I think they found all the eggs.

Here are a few extra pictures that I like. Nolan and Cole have a little relationship that only brothers can share. He loves to do everything big brother does and they both scare me at times! ;)

Never mind that we have a battery powered vehicle that is a 2 seater, it is fun to stuff Nolan into the back of the single seater and have Cole give him a ride.

He also loves to be with Alli because she babies him. Here he is rockin to Justin Bieber. He is so much fun!!

Advancing in Tae Kwon Do

Cole recently met the requirements to test for an orange stripe belt in Tae Kwon Do. He was very excited to show his stuff and get a new belt, he thought he had his yellow stripe belt long enough. ;)

Cole executing the moves for the coach.

One tough kick!

Receiving his Orange Stripe Belt!

One proud boy!!

Here is a video of the "5 steps" he was required to learn to get his orange belt. He stumbled a little at first, but then started over and got them right. He told us he was nervous with all the people watching him. :) Great Job, Cole! We are proud of you!

Abe Lincoln

Alli recently completed a biography project and presented it to her class. She chose Abraham Lincoln and did a very good job learning all she could about him and putting it into a report.
They had the option to dress up like their person when they presented their biography and, of course, Alli wanted to. Lucky for me, one of her dance recital costumes is a tuxedo...perfect. Then all I had to do was make a hat and beard. We thought she made a very good Abe Lincoln.

Abe wore flip flops right?!? ;)

She did a great job!

Allison's 8th Birthday!

As many of you know, Alli's birthday is February 26th. So sorry I am just now getting around to blogging about it. (Sigh!) All well, enjoy this blog about Alli's favorite day of the year. Seriously, she filled out a questionnaire for school lately and she stated that her favorite holiday is her birthday. ;)

The birthday girl ready for her day!

Alli and Taylor helping me make the cake. My first attempt at fondant was "fun".

Alli hosted an ice skating party for her friends. She has loved ice skating since the first time we took her to the local indoor arena. She is really good at it! Here she is trying to keep Dad on his feet.

A picture of her and a few friends skating.

The ice skating place provided the cake and it was really yummy! Love this picture of Nolan. He saw the cake and scooted his way onto the bench by Alli. Such a cheesy smile!

Here is a group picture of most of Alli's friends. Unfortunately, I was too late in the game to get all of them in a picture. :(

Back at home that night and Alli and I were admiring our creation. We are pretty proud of how it turned out. She did a great job designing her cake and informed me that each year the design will get harder and harder because she has faith in me!

Opening presents. Of course she loved this part of her birthday!

Blowing out 8 candles. Crazy!!!

On her birthday she also got to enjoy a KU Jayhawks win against the OU Sooners with her daddy, Cole, grandpas, and Taylor. Let's just say she had a very busy, fun packed birthday! Can't believe how fast time has flown since that wintery day in Wyoming when she entered our lives! Love you bunches Allison LeAnn!!!!
